Pub of the Year presentation to the Fox Inn, Westcote Barton.

The North Oxfordshire CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) Pub of the Year award, was presented to the Fox Inn Westcote Barton on the 16th July 2012 by outgoing Chairman Lynne Baldwin. Jacqui and Tony Bass received the certificate in a short ceremony prior to the branch AGM. Tony accepted the award thanking his loyal customers and paying special tribute to Hook Norton Brewery for their assistance. A remarkable achievement as Tony and Jacqui took over the Fox only one year prior to winning the award. The pub had been closed for some time, having had a succession of landlords, but they have transformed the Fox into a hub of the community where all are welcome, as well as organising a very successful charity beer and music festival over the August Bank Holiday. Most important of all though: the beer is of the highest quality.
