Cry England, St George and Old Hooky

Open day at the Hook Norton Brewery – Saturday 23 April, 11am-3pm

Come and celebrate St George’s Day at Hook Norton Brewery’s open day

Where: Hook Norton Brewery, Hook Norton, OX15 5NY

When: Saturday, 23 April

Time: 11am-3pm.

Come and join us for a fun few hours on St George’s Day. The Visitor Centre will host regular tutored food and beer tastings. In addition, there is a rolling programme of tours of one of the country’s last Victorian Tower breweries, available at a reduced price of £5.00.

And to make it a “knight” to remember, at selected times there will be a display of medieval warfare and fighting by the Companion of Crow.

The Hook Norton Brass Band will be in attendance along with a group of local hand bell ringers. A hot food van will also be on site.

The Hook Norton Visitors Centre is housed in the brewery’s original maltings that were bought by the company’s founder John Harris in 1849.

The brewery itself is not suitable for people with walking difficulties or children under 12. However, the shop and reception area is able to cater for both.
