The Fox in Leafield re-opens on 15th April 2011
The Fox in Leafield re-opens this coming Friday 15th April at 7pm.
It has a darts area, two sofas around the large fireplace (previously
covered
up), and lots of tables and chairs. The interior has been completely
refreshed.
As the pub is not large, there are no plans for a pool table or
TV at the
moment.
The kitchen has been relocated and will have all new equipment.
The cellar is
reportedly being installed by Marston's. As it is not a tied pub,
the plan
(according to one of the landlords), is to have about 4 real ales
at any one
time, and in fact real ales is the first characteristic he mentioned
to me. The
landlords are searching for a full time chef (applicants welcome!).
Temporarily
food may be shipped from a sister pub, The Prince of Wales, in Shippon
(near
Abingdon).
The landlords would welcome a CAMRA chapter and/or committee meeting.
We have been looking forward to this!
