Tutored tastings of Hookys award winning beers
Hook Norton helps tenants build business with food and drink
pairings of its beers
Tutored tastings of the three Hook Norton beers - Hooky Bitter,
Double Stout and Hooky Dark which are crowned among the worlds
best beers - are being held in seven of the brewers pubs in
March and April.
Drinkers will be able to try the three the beers which picked up
awards in the prestigious Brewing Industry International Awards
held earlier this year. Hook Nortons Hooky Bitter triumphed
with gold in the category for bottled ales. Double Stout won silver
in the category for dark ale and Hooky Dark picked up a bronze in
the cask ale category.

The evenings will be very informal and each tasting should last

To show the versatility of Hook Norton beers each will be
paired with a different food. Bottled Hooky Bitter is paired with
a mild pate on water biscuits; bottled Double Stout partners some
plain dark chocolate and draught Hooky Dark is matched with a savoury
dish such as a samosa or spiced chicken.
Hook Norton Managing Director James Clarke said: The tastings
are one of the many ways we work with our tenants to help them build
their businesses. We are proud of our award winning beers and the
tutored tastings are a great opportunity to share them with a wider
audience and show how well they partner with different dishes.
