The Three Pigeons re-opens
Sam and Hattie Hornblow (nee Webb) re-opened the thatched, 16th
Century, Three Pigeons on Southam Road on the 17th December 2010
after the property was shut for 6 months.
The couple are offering excellent real ales, a selection of wines,
spirits and lagers and a fresh "pub grub" style menu.
Sam, a talented chef of 10 years, recently of the acclaimed Magdalen
Arms in Oxford and Hattie, an Oxford Brookes Hospitality Graduate
(class of 2009) have given The Pigeons a fresh new look with a new
carpet and colour scheme throughout.
The menu consists of classics such as real ale battered fish and
chips, slow cooked lamb shanks, Sunday Roasts and tempting vegetarian
options along with selection of desserts and ice creams all homemade
by Sam.
Sam and Hattie look to develop the community side of the pub by
starting events such as weekly pub quizzes, a meat raffle and Aunt
Sally team in the Spring along with an Ale Festival over the Royal
Wedding / May bank holiday weekend.
Special menus will be offered on evenings such as Valentine's long
weekend (12th, 13th and 14th) and on St. Patrick's Day.
